ENTERTAINMENTS.
WEST'S PICTURES. The fifth change of programme in connection with West's Pictures and L. Do Croon's Band was inaugurated at His Majesty's Theatre, last night. An entirely new set ot films was shown. Amongst tho most interesting wcro a dramatic representation of tho story \ of "Curfew Shall Not King To-night;" a semi-humorous subject, "Two Thousand Miles Without a Dollar," showing how un engry husband leaves homo in a huff and goes buck in a harry because of a telegram which contains interesting domestic news; "Tho Magnetic Man," thefunny story of a magnetised coat of mail;, "Tho Adventuress," an exciting Russian episode; "Maori Haka and New Zealand Cadets, (scenes from the Christchurch Exhibition ; "Her Rival's Necklace," a dramatic subject; "The Floor Polisher," most ludicrous in character; and a fine- page-ant film depicting a historic (spectacle enacted at Oxford beforo the Prince and Princess of Wales. The remainder of the pictures wero all excellent examples of cinematographic art, embracing a wide field. The orchestral selections were admirable, and the accompanying musio both melodious and appropriate. Tho last two nights of tho season aro announced. OPERA HOUSE. Fuller's Vaudeville Company appeared before an appreciative audienco last night. On Saturday next a number of now performers will make their first appearance, including Davy's Marionette*; Pastor and Merle, American eccentric comedy acrobats; the Scyft'or Twins, a quaint juvenile double; R. H. Collins, American tenor; Klaer's dogs and monkoys; Hammou and Wyatt; the Sandow Girls; and Master Norman Mudford. THE PASSION PLAY. On Christmas night at His Majesty's Theatre a representation of the " Passion Play " as performed every 10 years at Obcr Ammorgau will bo presented. Tho box plan will be opened at Wildman and Arcy's tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock. ONEHUNGA PRESBYTERIAN YOUNG MEN'S CLUB. The above club held a very successful social on Tuesday evening. There were present representatives from tho Methodist and St. Peter's Clubs. During tho early part of of tho evening several tournament's wero carried out. Supper was served, and various toasts wero honoured.
