The meetins of the Mutual Improvement Association on Monday night was one of the most enjoyable this session, the occasion beinz the annual visit of Mr. Maxwell Walker, M.A.. and party. 'Hie play from which the visitors gave dramatic readings was " Paolo and Francesca," a four-act traced v. by Stephen Phillips. The loading characters were Giovanni. Paolo, Francesca. and Lurrczia. portrayed by Mr. H. Hcmiia. Mr. M. Walker. Miss B. Jackson, and Mrs. J orsvth respectively. The lighter element was capably furnished by Misses Gillett. Bartlett, and M. Slohiic. and Messrs. Nortucroft. Sinclair, and Graham. Mr. J. D.ilton. who has been on a lengthy visit to Australia, intends to return to Otahnlm, whore ho will be welcomed m Good Templar and musical circles.
