Bradley, licensee of the Lady Bo wen Hotel, was charged with im- » lawfully keeping his licensed premises open . during such time as the said premises' should be closed, namely, on Sunday, Juno 23. WARKWORTH. Before Mr. R. W. Dyer, S.M., A. Hood was charged .with cruelty to a bullock on Juue 6. The magistrate dismissed the case. A. Cruitikshank, of Matakana, was cliaa'g-j ed with a breach of the Poisons Act by | selling strychnine. Defendant pleaded guilty and stated that his assistant had sold the poison without his knowledge. Ho was fined 10s, and costs lis. L. Ramsbottom, mail coach driver, of Warkworth, for a breach of the county bylaws, in that he had gone over Warkworth bridge at more than a walking pace, was fined 10s, and costs 7s. Chas. Butters v. H. Whitly, £4 Is 7d, judgment by default; Evan Richards v. W. Blair, £21 18s 2d, judgment by default, with costs £1 19s 6d; Geo. Guest and Sons v. H. Edmundson, £13 16s <kl, judgment by default, with costs £1 3s; 0. Dibble v. Geo. Snooks and W. H.
