New York, July 3. There is excitement on the cotton market in New York, owing to the ilow estimate of the crop made by the Government Statistical Department.
Feverish buying has forced the price up 62 points.

London, July 3.
Owing to the shortage of cotton many of the Lancashire mills are working short time.
