As the result of a deputation to the Chief Railway Commissioner, the shipmasters' strike at Newcastle has terminated, the obnoxious regulations regarding loading of which the captains complained being so modified that the shipmasters agreed to sign. AN IMPUDENT ROBBER, Sydney, July 3. An impudent robbery occurred at the Yarrawonga Engine Sheds early this morning. A man, armed with a stick, entered the sheds and threatened a train cleaner, ! named Cherry, unless he handed over his money. The robber secured £3 12s, besides a watch and a bicycle, which last he utilised to escape. KILLED BY BLACKS. Perth, July 3. Mr. Tobin, a member of the Government exploring party, has been fatally speared by blacks. ."
