THE NIGHTCAPS DISASTER
THE JURY'S FINDING. [BY TELEGRAPH.— ASSOCIATION.] Invehcargiix, Tuesday. i At the Coroner's inquiry into the deaths of the men who perished in the Nightcaps. disaster the jury found that death was due ' to the effects of white damp, and added the following rider:—"The jury considers that due care was not exercised prior to the three deceased entering the dip, and recommend that safety lamps be used for inspection, and that the inspector of mines insist upon the management complying with all the provisions of the Goal Mines Act in future.''
