ATTACKS ON THE POLICE. TROOPS STATIONED AT THE MINES. By Telegraph— Association.— Copyright. (Received May 25. 12-4 a.m.) Pretoria, May 24. The Rand strikers ' attacked and stoned the police at Ferreira Deep Mine yesterday and intimidated the workers into joining the strike. There were violent scenes also at the Robinson Deep Mine. Four hundred of ' the Cameron Highlanders "are now distributed among the ' mines in East Rand, and 200 of the Border Regiment at the mines at West Rand. .
