LABOUR TROUBLES AT SAN FRANCISCO.
SHIPYARDS AFFECTED.

Owing to continued labour troubles at San Francisco the Union Ironworks Company is unable to complete the armoured cruiser California and the Government has been com-| pelled to undertake the work itself. The California is a 13,400-ton armoured cruiser which was laid down, in 1902. As die is in commission, the work referred to must consist of repairs.
