YOUNG MAN WITH A REVOLVER
ALLEGED. THREAT TO SHOOT A GIRL. A young man named Leopold Muir was brought before the Police Court yesterday and charged with threatening: to shoot. Sub-Inspector Gordon explained that the defendant had come from Wellington, and before leaving, lie threatened .to shoot a certain young lady in Auckland. He was met at Onehunga on his arrival, and denied that he had any firearms in his possession. On being searched, however, it was discovered that he 'possessed a- sevenchambered revolver, which was fully loaded. This was taken from him, and he was placed under arrest. It had been since found out that Muir was suffering from th© effects of excessive drinking. The defendant was remanded for medical treatment.
