NATIVE LAND COURT.
The Native Land Court closed at Whangs rei on Friday, after sitting for four weeks. Judge,Edger presided, and a considerable -■ ' j amount of business was transacted. The investigation of the titles in the Kiripaka, Tarakeikci, Te Pipiwai and Otatahuna Blocks occupied a considerable portion of the sitting. Whilst the sitting of. the Court was being held < the assessment of compensation to be paid to the native owner* in respect to land taken for tho ext«n- v _ . sion of the Grahamtown-Kawakawa railway, comprising three portions of the Wanna* hanga Block; including a portion of the native reserve, was considered and decided. - '
