I Society's game farm, at Paraparauinu, daring the past year, have again been very sac'" .■'/'■ cessful. Altogether a total of 604 game ■"■ .' birds were reared, being a record for the f-; farm. The different varieties of game wen" as '.follows:—Pheasants, 430; ducks {English Mallard), 114; Korean, 20; American; ;.■ black duck, 24, and New Zealand gray duck 2; Californian quail, 12; Australian bronzewing pigeon, 2: total, 604. ; Up to date about 80 English mallard j | ducks and over 100 pheasants have been- ! ,■■ liberated. Some 300 pheasants are still held for liberation in portions of the district where protection for a time can be. afforded to them. • '■ v
