OFFICERS' CERTIFICATES SUSPENDED.

Auklkwk, May VI. The certificate of the captain of the steamer Willyama has been suspended for 12 months, but he has been granted a mate's certificate ,in the meantime. The X.■ second mate had: his master's certificate puspended for the same period, but was granted a second mate's certificate.

The Wlllyama, a steel steainer of 2700 tons, owned by the Adelaide Steamship Company, went ashore at L Marion Bay, South Australia, on April 15. She was laden with coal. An examination of the hull of the steamer -showed that a .rock v had penetrated the forepeak. Several efforts to refloat the'steamer were made, but proved unsuccessful, and on April 22 she , X was abandoned to the underwriters. .
