GIRL'S SUDDEN DEATH.

...AN INQUEST 'OPENED. A young girl named- Minnie Kitchen died ' somewhat suddenly at her parents' residence Tararua Terrace, Parnell, on Sunday •evening. Miss Kitchen, who was engaged in town during the day, returned home on Thursday evening and complained of toothache. At midnight her condition became serious, and Dr. W.'D. Ferguson attended : her. He prescribed for her, and the patient's condition continued to improve until one o'clock on Sunday afternoon, when she took a turn for the worse, and despite the attention of Dr. Ferguson expired five hours later. As Dij, Ferguson would not give a certi- • ficate of death an inquest was opened before Mr. T. Gresham, Coroner,'. yesterday afternoon. Sergeant Moore, on behalf of the police, said that no jury had been summoned and no instructions had been received from headquarters.
