[from our own correspondents.] clevedon. The newly-elected members of 'the Wairoa Road Board met on Saturday. Mr. J. R. McKenzie was elected chairman for the ensuing year. A" ballot was taken for two members to retire next year, the choice falling on Messrs. J. R. McKenzie and James McConnichie. .The. Road Board have a good amount of work tc supervise this year, the most important being the replacing of the bridge, that was washed away in January.
