ONEHUNGA CYCLING TOURING CLUB.
POLICE FORBID ROAD RACING.
Recently a .valuable cup was presented to the, Onehunga Cycling Touring; Club for competition by the club captain, Mr. T. H. 'Partington, and a - 10-mile road race was arranged for last Saturday, .but which, owing to the inclement weather, was postponed until to-day. However, an unexpected development has arisen, for the police t acting under instructions from headquarters, have refused to allow the race to take place. A meeting was held to discuss the situation, and to appeal against the action taken by the authorities. As the other clubs holding road races are also concerned, much interest is being evinced in the matter. • ,'■>-..
