GOVERNMENT TRAINING SHIP

, VISITED BY THE ADMIRAL. [BY telegraph.—own correspondent.] Wellington, Wednesday. The Post "reports. that yesterday morning Vice-Admiral Sir Wilmot H. Fawkes was given the opportunity of satisfying his desire to visit the New Zealand training ship Amokura. He was met on board by the Acting-Premier (the Hon. W. Hall-Jones), the Minister for Defence (the Hon. E. McNab), and Captain Hooper, R.N.R. The Admiral made a thorough inspection of the vessel and also of the boys, whom he briefly addressed.' One of the boys gave a demonstration of navigation with a model ship, and was complimented by the visitor on his proficiency in theoretical seamanship.
