. Cheistchubch, Wednesday. The North Canterbury Education Board is still face to face with the difficulty of obtaining teachers for country schools. At a meeting to-day, Mr. T. O. Adams stated that not a single application had been received for the position of mistress at Mackenzie school, in Cheviot. On the other hand, there were a dozen applications for a position close to town, at a salary of £95. The desire of teachers, to secure schools near populous centres was", thus clearly .shown.
