"NO SMOKING."
[BY TELEGRAPH.-—PRESS ASSOCIATION.] f ■ _ Wellington, Tuesday. In the past the notices on the Government railway platforms "smoking prohibited," have been honoured more in the breach than the observance. As the result of strong representations made to the Railway Department it hag ■ now been determined • that the order shall be rigidly enforced. Three men charged with having smoked upon the; platform at the Wellington railway station made their appearance before f the stipendiary magistrate yesterday, and were each convicted and mulcted in costs.
