On Sunday, George Johnston, of Centrehill, was accidentally shot in the leg by a shooting companion named O'Leary. The latter's gun had gone wrong somehow, and a3 he was . trying to fix it it exploded, striking ; Johnston, who was about 15yds away, below the knee. They were far from a habitation, but O'Leary carried "lis mate on his back till he reached a means of communication, six miles off. The journey was through the bush, in the dark.
