Goroniandel was ; held; in the County .Social V Hall on Saturday evening. Mr. S. James presided. Mr. Shirley, Government; dairy instructor, and Mr. Holland, dairy expert, were'present,-, and addressed the"; meeting. . After discussion, and various questions had been answered, it was decided to appoint a committee to canvass the district, and ascertain what guarantees could be -obtained. The following were appointed as the committee: —Messrs. James, Simmonds, Wight, Home, Johnstone, Rhodes, Troughear (Opitonui), D. McGregor (Kaimarama), W. Ward (Cabbage Bay). ,C. W. Hovell (Kennedy Bay), and C. O'Brien (Mercury Bay). V The amount realised in connection with the Hospital Sunday' demonstration, held on April 28,', was £34 14s 6d. which, with the Government's subsidy of 24s in the £, means £76 ■7s lOd. -
