DROWNING ACCIDENT.
OIL LAUNCH CAPSIZES

Hokitika, Saturday. The police at Hokitika have received advice that two men, Claude Webb and Alfred May, were drowned yesterday afternoon when crossing the Karangarua bar, South Westland. They were in Mr. Chinn's oil launch, used in connection witii the flaxinilling industry. The fatality was caused by the boat capsizing. Both were young men. Webb's parents reside in Christchurch, and May was not long from England.
