[from our OWN correspondents.] WAIUKTT. HARVEST thanksgiving services were held at Wesley Church on March 51. The church was nicely decorated, and the Rev. J. J. Mather preached morning and evening to good congregations. The annual soiree and concert in connection with Holy Trinity Church took place on Easter Monday. A good programme was presented at the concert. The following took part:—Pianoforte dttet. Misses Campbell and Harrison; vocal duets. Madame Chambers Miss Holland, of Auckland, and the Misses Waters and White; songs. Madame Chambers. Miss Holland, Miss Garland, and Mr. Adams, of Auckland, and Miss Waters, Miss Watkin. Messrs. W. James, and P. Webster; violin solo. Miss Johnson; trio, the Misses White and Waters. The proceeds amounted to about £20. WAIPU. A MEETING of the Presbyterian Congregation was held in the church on March 25. The, Rev. It. Sornmerville. moderator df the Waipu charge, presided. The meeting was called for the purpose of giving a minister a call to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of the Rev. J. M. Fraser. On the motion. - That the name of the Rev. W. Thompson be. inserted in the call." a vote was taken, the resolution being carried by 14 to 11.
