EARTHQUAKE AT KINGSTON
SHOCK LASTING EIGHT
SECONDS.
By Telegraph.—Press Association.—Copyright. (R-eceived February 24. 4.45 p.m.) Kingston, February 23. An earthquake shock, lasting eight seconds, occurred at Kingston yesterday. The shock was so violent, that several of the buildings rocked. There was a thick haze while the tremor lasted and afterwards.

A distinct earthquake tremor was experienced at Gunning (165 miles smithwest, of Sydney) yesterday.
