MR. ROCKEFELLER'S INCOME.
NOT MORE THAN £4,000,000

New York, February 23. Mr. J. D. Rockefeller, in correction of exaggerated statements regarding his financial position, has authorised the statement, that his fortune does .not exceed £60,000.000, and that his annual income is never more than £4,000,000.
According to the above statement Mr. Carnegie when lie retired from tin- active management of the steel business with £80.000.000 was a richer man than Mr. Rockefeller is today. Mr. Carnegie's premmi! income lias been stated at something over £2,000.000.
