LABOUR CONFERENCE IN SYDNEY.
POLITICIANS MUST OBEY
ORDERS.
MR. WATSON REBELLIOUS.
By Telegraph— Press Association.— Copyright.
Sydney, January 28. The Political Labour Conference, now meeting in Sydney, is not a particularly happy gathering. No pains are being spared to show the Labour members of Parliament that they are purely the servants of the conference.
The Federal Labour Leader (Mr. Watson) was told straight out that Labour politicians were the creatures of the conference, and that he must do as he was told. He warmly resented this, and said he would go as far as he wanted, but not further.
