NATIVE LAND COMMISSION.
WILL FORMALLY OPEN ON
THURSDAY. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION".] Wellington, Monday. The Government has appointed Mr. C. P. Skerrett to represent native land interests before the Native Lauds Commission. It is understood that Mr. A. L. Fraser, M.H.R., will assist Mr. Skerrett. The Commission will formally open in Christcburch on Thursday, when the Chief Justice, the President, will give' a general outline of the courses he proposes to take, and the Attor-ney-General for the Government, and Mr. Skerrett will be asked to make any statemeats they desire on behalf of their respective interests.
