THRESHING MILLS IDLE.

Chbistchtjbch, Monday. Threshing millowners in South Canterbury are finding great difficulty in getting sufficient hands to work their mills, owing to the scarcity of casual labourers, and some mills are actually idle through this cause. A millcwner who spent practically the whole of Friday iti.Tiinaru looking for men did so to no [impose. He found only two or three men who were out of employment, and they would not accept the work he offered them.
