HERALD Y. WHITFORD PARK. On Saturday a cricket team from Whit ford Park visited North Shore, and played a return match with a team from the HERALD Office. The Herald team won by an innings and 32 runs. The following are the scores:—HERALD: First innings, 180 (N. Strickland 89, A. Thompson 27. E. Horspool 23, R. Birch 14, G. Strange 10). Whitford Park: First innings, 50 (F. Williams 21, H. Wilson 11). Second innings, 98 (K. Granger not, out 15, J. Cooper 12, J. Meagher 11). Bowling for Whitford Park, G. Cooper took four wickets for 45 runs; G. Couldrey, three for 24 :W. Cooper, one for 53. Bowling for the HERALD, Birch took seven wickets for 50 runs: Strickland, three for 19. In the second innings Milford took two wickets for 5 runs: Thompson, two for 9; Hoaro, two for 19; Martin, one for 11.
