WANTED BOY AND GIRL LABOUR.

Sir,—Boys and girls aro wanted on our farms and in our factories, ami I respectfully wish , to suggest that our Chamber of Commerce, Trades and Labour Council, and in ploy or Association discuss the question of getting V IL \ < Government to assist, say 100 boys and girls from one of the large orphanages in Kng'and, to reach this colony. If the Government assist any kind of an adult from the congested towns at Home., and if many are corning out under doctors' orders, why should we not assist healthy, sturdy 13ritish boys and girls, whose only crime is that they are fatherless, to reach this land of plenty? I trust that the ladies will also discuss this question, and form syndicates to assist orphan sirls to come out to act as domestic helps. Dr. Barnardo homes send thousands of boys to Canada; why could wo not get a few out here? Trusting citizens "ill take an interest in this humanitarian movement. 3. Peabson. Cuba-street, Wellington, January 17.
