A letter was received from the general manager of railways in reply to one sent bv the Chandler, in which the latter had aisked that. Cambridge should be provided with better railway facilities. The general manager stated in regard to the suggestion that, motor trains be given a trial, thai the experiments with these were being conlined to the suburban area, with a view to ascertaining definitely their practical utility, and the extension or otherwise of such services will depend entirely upon the results of the trials now being made.
