A PROGRESSIVE PORT.

New Plymouth, Friday. The annual, report presented by the chairman of the Harbour Board to-day shows steady progress of the port. The leveiiuc last year, £11,869, shows an increase of £2256. Imports and exports totalled 65,181 tons, an increase of 2673 tons. Revenue has doubled .since 1898, and trade has nearlv doubled. The Board spent £7223 during the year on permanent extensions out of revenue.
