Shanghai.'December 10. The Famine Committee at Shanghai states that millions of Chinese arc on the verge of starvation, and it appeals to the Lord Mayor of Lond'on and the Mayors of Mew York, Paris, and Berlin to open relief funds.
.Missionaries reported f>arJv in November that 10,000,000 people in the province of North Kiangsii were living in famine conditions and that the outlook was terrible.
