Wblli.vgxo.n-, Tuesday. Thk Chief Justice to-day sentenced four prisoners who had pleaded guilty in the lower Court. George Shaw, aged 17 years, charged with theft at Hawke's Bay, was ordered to come up for sentence when called upon. James Biggs, against whom there were eight previous convictions, was sentenced to 18 months on a charge of theft. Edward Hughe.?, for forgery at Teilding, was sentenced to six months. August Edward Haase, charged with incest, was sentenced to seven years' imprisonment.
