Buchanan, who, it will be remembered, purchased the son of Multiform from Mr. G. G. Stead in November last, for £5000. NAPIER PARK RACING CLUB'S SPRING MEETING. SECOND DAY. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Napier, Thursday. The Napier Park Racing Club experienced very fine weather for the concluding day of their spring meeting. The attendance was large for an otr day and tlie racing was good. In the KoroUipo Handicap Hurdle Race Needlework, who was unplaced in the Hack Hurdle Race on the first day, made all the running and won easily in time that constitute* a New Zealand record for the distance, lie certainly carried 131b less than on the Urst day, but the two performances were in marked contrast. A protest entered by the owner of the second horse was very carefully considered by the stewards, who, in dismissing it, cautioned the jockey for suspicious riding, and informed him that his riding would lx* closely watched in future. The totalizator investments amounted, to £0152, making a total of £14.359 for the two days, an increase of £3826 on last year's total.
