A fatal conflict between the police and strikers took place yesterday at Buckingham, a township near Ottawa. The strikers endeavoured by fores to prevent the timber mills from working, and a* they refused to withdraw or desist the police fired at ■them. , Three of the strikers were killed ind eleven wounded. -
