ACCIDENTS ON THE FOOTBALL FIELD.
Just before the close of the football match .' between the Auckland junior representatives arid a team from Rodney County, played at Alexandra Park on Saturday afternoon before the interprovincial match, Auckland v. Wellington, Wynyard (North Shore), one ■■ of the junior representatives' back division, met with a painful accident. He was running with th© ball, and on being tackled by one of the opposing players, fell heavily .J on his shoulder, fracturing his collarbone. A regrettable accident occurred during a ,; match between the Waihi and Paeroa teams | to-day, W. Henderson, son of Mr. J. He had lifted his foot to kick the ball simultaneously with a similar attempt .'• by a Paeroa player, and the legs crossing 0, met with great force.
