Ashbitbtox, Thursday. Mr.. John- McLachlax, M.H.R., has tendered Mr. Hugo Fricdlander an ample written apology for remarks made about him at a public meeting at the railway station on June 13. Mr. Friedlander has accepted the apology, and an action for slander ha& been discontinued.
