THE ANTICIPATED DEFICIT. CAUSED BY MILITARY EXPENDITURE. 135" Telegraph.—Press Association.— (Received June 1, 9.34 p.m.) Pahis, June 1. The anticipated deficit of £10,000,000 in the finances of France in 1907 arises from unforeseen expenditure due to the need for strengthening the military position when the Moroccan question seemed to point to war with Germany. This special expenditure amounted to £7,800,000.
