ANGLO-FRENCH COMMISSION
TO DELIMIT THE BORDERS OF
NORTHERN NIGERIA.

,-> . London, May .30. Great Britain and France have agreed to the sending of a Commission to delimit their possessions between the Niger River and Lake Chad, with a view to giving France access to the lake region, from French Guinea without crossing British territory.
France his three military territories, between French Guinea - and Lake Chad, two belonging, to the Soudan, and the other at Sinder, on the borders of Northern Nigeria. Timbuctoo is the chief town of one of these territories. The Smder military post serves to connect the Niger with Lake Chad. Part of the Sinder district, however, belongs to Great Britain, and on the map it is a-hump-shaped break m tho line of Northern Nigeria's border line. The French would nave to pass round this protruding strip of territory to get to Lake Chad. It was reported last month that Great Britain had agreed to the cession of this piece of country to France.
