CONFERENCE OF RAILWAY LEAGUES.
A (JOJfFRRK.N'CE of delegates from the various railway leagues and , several, local bodies in the districts interested iu the proposed East Coast railway, will be held at the Chamber of Commerce rooms at three o'clock this afternoon, for the purpose of discussing the best means of ensuring the speedy completion of railway communication between Auckland and Gisborne. The meeting is being held under the auspices of the Auckland Railway League, and all. subscribers to the funds of the league and anyone interested in the subject are invited to attend. In addition to the delegates and others whose names were given yesterday, representatives will be present from the Council of the Auckland Chamber of Commerce. A large and representative attendance is expected.
