ALPEGED HOUSEBREAKING.
[BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Gisborne,' Wednesday. . -The'bearing, of a charge of housebreaking at Ortnond occupied the attention of the Police Court to-day, a bushman named O'Ronke being charged with breaking and entering a house occupied by a woman, who deposed that accused, after trying the windows and doors, got through the back .window. She accosted him with a lamp in her hand, and on his attempting to seize hold of her, she seized a carving and drove him out. Counsel for tho prisonc: said he would prove the case was one of mistaken identity. Further hearing was adjourned for a week. t
