WAIKATO HOUNDS.
The Woikalo Hounds had their opening, meet on Saturday List at Hautapu schoolhouee. The weather was perfect and the field was an unusually large one. There were only. spills, which speaks well tor this year's hunters, as most of the horses were very green. .Some smart runs were enjoyed in the early part of the day, although on the whole the seem km' bad. Mrs. Ranks,- sen., kindly provided afternoon lea. lor all. Amongst those following were : The master (on Hector), Mr. Selby (on a grav), the whip (on Seoul), Mrs. W. Thornton (on Fidget), Miss Buckland (on Starlight), Miss Pickering (on Jacko), Mrs. Murray (on Tui), Messrs. W. Smith (Dandy Dick), J. Richardson (Tszara), . Wyn Brown, A*. Richardson, Seflon Hanks (Whare), 11. Crowther, Ramsey, Taylor (2), C. C. Buckland, It. Dodd, and others. Driving were Mrs. Richardson and a lady friend, Mi. and Mis. Conner, Miss Kerr, Mr. Nelson Ranks, and Mr. J. Richardson.
