" YE OLDE ENGLISHE FAYRE"
There were about 3000 people in attendance at "Ye Olde Engl is he Fay re " and Carnival last night. The business done by the stallholders was very good, and all of the sideshows had a most successful night. The programme for the evening consisted of a butterfly ball, a comic Japanese dance, a Maypole, and several other pleasing items. It is estimated that about £100 odd per day has been taken since the opening day (Monday). The Tramways Company have placed extra cars on the Kingsland line, and also have through cars from Kingsland to Ponsonbv via Karangahape Road. The fair will be continued each afternoon and evening until Saturday, and to conclude the festival a moonlight excursion will be held on Wednesday next.
