INFANTRY BATTALION CAMP.

Excellent work is being done daily by the volunteers under canvas- at the Auckland Infantry Battalion camp on the Outer Domain ground. Yesterday morning was spent in distance-judging, and in the evening the second stage of the course of battalion attack drill formed the course of instruction. An excellent concert programme was provided by the friends and members of the Young' Men's Christian Association. who have a tent on the ground, after drill, and was much enjoyed by the volunteers.

This morning the instructor will examine and pass recruits into the ranks, and the evening will be devoted to the third and final stage of the battalion attack drill. At nine o'clock p.m. the final of the tug-of-war, postponed from the military tournament, will be pulled off between the College Rifles and "A" Battery teams.

To-morrow (Friday) evening Colonel Divies, officer commanding the district, will inspect the companies of the battalion at the camp, and will afterwards give his views on the sham-fight manoeuvres held in the direction of One-tree Hill last Saturday afternoon.
