New York, February 5. Miss Alice Roosevelt, who is to be married to Mr. Nicholas Longworth, a member of Congress, in a few days, has received wedding presents valued at 1,000,000 dollars. They range from jewels to American wines, fruits, and vegetables.
The bridegroom of "the American princess" is 36 ysarsof age. or 15 years the senior of Miss Roosevelt. He is a member of a wealthy family of Cincinatti, a. lawyer by profession, and was elected to Congress last year. Both Miss Roosevelt and Mr. Longworth were members of Mr. Taft's party that toured the Far East recently.
