HIS MAJESTY'S THEATRE.
The Knight-Jeffries Company produced "Monsieur Beaucatre" for the second time at. His Majesty's Theatre last evening. There was a large audience. As is always the case with this fascinating play, the audience thoroughly enjoyed it, and showed their appreciation by frequent and unanimous outbursts of applause. Miss Maude Jeffries and Mr. Julius Knight played the leading characters with great success. The other characters were all well represented. "Monsieur Beaucairo" will be repeated to-night, and to-morrow night "A Royal Divorce," tho spectacular Napoleonic drama, will take its place. CHARLES HOLLOWAY COMPANY. __ After a successful season in Sydney Mr. Edwin Geach announces the appearance in Auckland of Mr. Charles Holloway and his dramatic comany for a brief season at the Opera House, commencing next Tuesday night, when "Two Little Vagabonds" will constitute the opening bill, in which theyoung Australian actress. Miss Beatrice Holloway, will appear as Dick. The play is a plain story of great interest, with a. very human element running through it. Mr. Geach is sending the complete and elaborate scenic outfit for the repertoire selected for the season here, which will include " Two Little Vagabonds," the sporting drama, "Rogues of tho Turf," and the domestic play, "Shall We Forgive Her?" The box plans are now open at Messrs. Wildman and Arey's.
