<0» UNSUCCESSFUL ATTEMPTS AT RESCUE. TWENTY MORE SURVIVORS. By Telegraph —Press Association Copyright. Vancouver, January 25. Bluejackets from H.M.s. Egeria (surveying ship) made attempts to save the survivors of the wrecked steamer Valencia, who were clinging to the rigging. They used surf boats, but found it impossible to get near enough to effect rescues. , ■■,-, (Received January 26, 9.37 p.m.) Vancouver, January 26. A raft has been picked up with 20 of the Valencia's passengers and crew, who, it was supposed, had been lost. The total saved is thus 35, and the lost 119.
