CHRISTCHURCH EXHIBITION.
[by TELEGRAPH. ASSOCIATION.] ,* CfIRiSTCHTTRCH, Thursday. The contractors are . making satisfactory progress with the preliminary work, of erecting the exhibition building. The ceremony of laying the foundation-stone nest Monday will be performed by the Premier. Sir Joseph Ward, the Hons. W. v HallJones, Colonel Pitt, and other Ministers will be present. A -platform 30ft by 20ft and 4ft high will be erected near the stone, and will occupied by the Premier, : Sir Joseph Ward, the"Mayor and Mayoress, Consuls and official rpresentatives.:
