CO-OPERATIVE WORKS.
[BY TELEGRAPH.— CORRESPONDENT.]
Wellington, Thursday. There are now 5499 artisans and labourers employed on co-operative works in the colony. Of this number 3445 are on works controlled by the Public Works Department, and 2054 are under the Department of Roads. The largest number (1352) are employed on the North Island Matin Trunk railway.
