FATAL ACCIDENT AT DEVONPORT.
A CHILD .FALLS «OM A 'BUS. A fatal accident occurred on Calliope Road, Devonport, -about; four,, o'clock . yesterday afternoon. i , A ; little; boy j, named .Harold Frederick Cox, some three or four years of age, a son of Dr. r Cox, dentist, of Calliope Road, was riding on Messrs. Parsons', 'bus, which runs between 'Devonport and Stanley Bay. He was , seated on «the front of the 'bus, between his elder brotner and sister. He was carrying an egg in his hand, and ho let this fall. He leaned fox« ward to see where it hud fallen, .and in doing so overbalanced himself .and'/ fell. The two wheels of the 'bus passed over else small of the child's back, and inflicted very serious internal injuries.l .The unfortunate little fellow was carried to his home, which was only a, short distance away.
